Jewelry Care
Fine Jewelry is fine, and we recommend treating it that way. While all of our Jewelry is made and designed to be worn daily, it is not intended to be worn 24/7. Having a thorough understanding of when and when not to wear your pieces is crucial to ensuring it’s longevity, so that your cherished pieces can be worn for years to come. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend not wearing any of our pieces when around any sort of moisture. This could include but is not limited to exercising, bathing, doing the dishes, gardening, cleaning, or applying lotions or products.
If you have any questions about how to care for your piece, please do not hesitate to reach out, so we can provide instructions on how to clean your item in the most responsible and safe way.
Jewelry Cleaning
All of STVDIO’s Jewelry can be cleaned using a soft toothbrush, lukewarm water, and a touch of dish soap. Make sure to pat the piece dry after cleaning. We also recommend having your piece professionally cleaned, as well as the settings checked at least once, but in cases of delicate settings twice a year by a professional Jeweler.
Our Diamond Channel Sets
We specialize in channel settings. We love that these settings are a durable daily wear setting, making them a great companion band for any engagement ring, ring stack, or a statement on their own. That being said, like all fine jewelry, they need a little TLC too, and Channels can tend to trap dirt and debris. We personally recommend purchasing an Ultrasonic Cleaner that can be used to clean the piece as needed, or whenever you feel like your stones are looking a little dull. We also recommend a professional cleaning and setting check once to twice a year by a professional jeweler.
Our Mixed Channel Sets
We offer a variety of Channel Sets using different materials, and some of these materials are more delicate and require a different type of wear and care. Channel Sets featuring Emeralds, Turquoise, and Jasper should not be cleaned using over the counter jewelry cleaner, or an Ultrasonic. These materials tend to be more porous and should avoid moisture as much as possible. When cleaning these materials, you can use a damp cloth, or a soft toothbrush with warm water and a drop of dish soap, and pat thoroughly dry. We do consider our mixed Channel Sets daily rings, but the key to keeping them in their best condition is really understanding when and when not to wear them. We also recommend a professional cleaning and setting check once to twice a year by a professional jeweler. Please follow our Jewelry Care Instructions for these pieces.
Diamond and Sapphire Center Stone Rings
We use a variety of settings in our Diamond and Sapphire Center Stone Rings. We recommend cleaning your beloved items with either a soft toothbrush with warm water and a drop of dish soap, a standard jewelry cleaner, or an Ultrasonic Cleaner. You can clean your item as needed, but at least once a month. We recommend setting checks with a Professional Jeweler at least once a year for bezel settings, and twice a year for Split, Prong, or Mixed Settings.
